Black Velveteen (real name Chris Offutt) is a pillar of Seattle's dance music scene, originally from the South Side of Chicago. Navigating the underground scenes from Chicago to Seattle to San Francisco and back again, Offutt crafts dark, deep, and atmospheric electronic music with active releases on SoundCloud and an integrated show on Proton Radio. Their sound blends deep, ethereal, percussive, melodic, and sometimes dark elements, earning recognition as a creator, artist, writer, and DJ/producer in the Pacific Northwest.
